This piece immediately stood apart because of its peacock feathers. The natural “eye” markings give the piece a watchful presence, while the turquoise and yellow hand-painted foot and gold beading bring in the visual language of prosperity, success and abundance.

The Prosperity Eye begins with a real chicken foot that was professionally dried and cured before coming into my possession. From there, the transformation was completed entirely by hand.
I hand-painted the foot in its rich turquoise color with individually painted yellow detailing. I selected and arranged the black feathers, incorporated the natural peacock feathers and finished the upper portion with layers of beautiful gold beaded detailing.
Every feather was individually added by hand.
My Conjure Chicken Feet can take approximately 4–6 hours each to create, depending upon the design and amount of detailing involved.

Within Hoodoo and conjure traditions, chicken feet have been associated with protection, defense, removal and scratching away unwanted conditions.
A chicken naturally scratches through the ground, moves debris out of its way and uncovers what lies beneath. That natural behavior became part of the symbolism associated with the chicken foot in spiritual work.
For The Prosperity Eye, I am pairing that traditional symbolism with an intention centered around clearing obstacles from the road to prosperity while watching over what is being built.
This is not simply about money appearing.
This piece is about opportunity, movement, growth, success and protecting the fruits of your labor.

This is a real, naturally formed chicken foot that was dried and cured before being transformed into the finished spiritual piece shown here.
Natural chicken feet vary in shape, texture, toe positioning and markings. Natural feathers—especially peacock feathers—also vary in shape, fullness, pattern and texture.
The painting, feather placement, beading and finishing are completed by hand, not by a machine.
Small variations and handmade imperfections are part of the character of the piece and are not considered defects.
No two will ever be exactly alike.
